THE EXCHANGE FIELD GUIDE

Better prepared.
Better connected.

Practical tools for trading well, from your first listing to your next long-term collaboration.

FIELD NOTE 01

Start with useful capacity

You do not need a warehouse to have something worth exchanging. Skilled work, design, tutoring, surplus materials, farm output and access to equipment can all have value. Publish only what you can legitimately provide.

  1. Choose Trade Credits or the Commodity Exchange before assigning value.
  2. Describe the deliverable, quantity, condition and service area.
  3. Use a wanted request to make your needs discoverable.
  4. Keep credentials and availability factual; explain what must be confirmed.

FIELD NOTE 02

Let the market come to your request

A useful request makes it easy for the right member to respond. Proposals stay private to the requesting and responding teams. Other bidders cannot see them.

  1. Specify quantity, unit, required scope, location and desired timing.
  2. Compare scope and total proposed value; do not compare unlike units.
  3. Shortlist suitable responses and clarify gaps.
  4. Build a trade with the selected member. Both sides must accept the terms; a shortlist alone books nothing.

FIELD NOTE 03

Agree on what “done” means

Use the deal room to coordinate a planning milestone, target date and shared progress. Use the actual trade offer to agree on the binding exchange of goods, work and balances.

  1. Write measurable acceptance criteria before accepting a trade.
  2. Agree who arranges transport, where handover happens and when work is available.
  3. Use the existing calendar, tasks and private documents for coordination.
  4. Confirm delivery only after receiving your side. Both confirmations trigger settlement.

Make sharing equipment work

Equipment access and rentals need a clear handover and return plan. Confirm operator qualifications, condition, responsibilities and any insurance or permit requirements with the appropriate professionals.

  1. Record condition and included accessories at handover.
  2. Agree pickup, return timing and transport responsibility.
  3. Document approved use, maintenance responsibilities and how issues will be handled.
  4. Use calendar appointments and return tasks; check condition together at return.

Build evidence, not claims

Public profiles, historical completed-trade ratings, My Reputation Pro feedback, private document controls and a dispute workflow help members make informed decisions. They are not a platform guarantee of identity, quality or licensing.

  1. Confirm counterparties and credentials relevant to the trade.
  2. Share sensitive material only through the appropriate private access workflow.
  3. Keep credit and commodity balances, profiles and reputations separate.
  4. Raise a dispute through the trade page when an accepted trade has a problem.

Trade knowledge before you trade goods

Agrarian Exchange hosts the marketplace category; iCreateMasterminds hosts its collaboration circle. Suggest a category or subcategory on Agrarian Exchange or iCreateMasterminds. Approval creates the matching marketplace category and circle or subcircle together.

  1. Find the category that fits what you do or need.
  2. Explicitly join a circle before reading or posting its discussions.
  3. Share a useful question, lesson or collaboration idea.
  4. Suggest a missing category for moderation and cross-platform publication.
